Inspired by our family's history—artisanal miners and jewelers in Antioquia—and reinforced by our experience in human rights and sustainable development, this project was born to answer a key question: how can we transform artisanal work into a source of dignity, sustainability, and real progress for our communities?
What is Nosso Primer Legado?
It is our first major commitment to a business model with a soul. A program that seeks to directly connect artisanal jewelers and miners from Colombia and Mexico with conscious consumers in the United States, under an approach based on human rights, ethical traceability, occupational health and safety, and responsible use of technology.
What do we do differently?
We buy directly from artisans, without intermediaries.
We support their growth with training in occupational safety, environmental sustainability, and formalization.
We apply artificial intelligence to optimize logistics, billing, and traceability processes.
We sign agreements with artisans that guarantee fair trade, legal compliance, and respect for labor rights.
We promote clean techniques such as panning and reject the use of mercury.
Who benefits?
The more than 12 artisanal jewelers and miners we have already worked with directly, their families, young professionals who have joined the project in areas such as design, communication, and web development, and also consumers who are looking for more than just a product: they are looking for purpose.
What do we dream of?
We dream of seeing strengthened artisanal communities, physical stores with local identity, and an international market that values products made with dignity. We dream that every piece that leaves Nosso Galeón will be a bridge between tradition and the future. A shared legacy.
